Accessing and using information on our web site
All information on this web site is in the public domain and can be accessed anonymously without registration or login.
We currently only use cookies to record whether you wish to view the site in normal or an alterative display style, and to maintain anonymous "session information" which we use to pass information from page to page. Apart from that we do not currently use cookies to record any information about you or your visits.
Our web site host, RM, maintain logs of web site access which include things like the browsers that site visitors are using, the pages they have visited and when. This information can be provided to the school to help us understand how our web site is being used. Again, no personal information is recorded in these logs.
All content on this web site is copyright of the school. It must not be copied or reproduced without our express permission in writing from the headteacher.
The school is not responsible for nor endorses any information external to this web site.
Contacting us via the web site
There are a number of response forms on our web site (e.g. Contact Us) that can be used to contact the school. When you click the "send" button on these forms you are, behind the scenes, sending us an email which will contain the information you entered into the form's fields along with an indication of your browser type. Before clicking the send button please be aware that:
- Emails submitted via the response forms are sent via un-encrypted email.
- The email will be sent to the school's administration email in-box with copies sent to the school's web masters (currently Heather Lander and Graeme Whippy). This helps us ensure that the key people associated with the school web site will see your message and respond to it as soon as possible.
- Your message should not include any personal or sensitive information.
We will not pass on or disclose any information sent in the emails unless expressly compelled to so by law.
Return to previous page (if you were about to fill in a form).
Protecting pupils' identities
Our policy on protecting pupils' identities on the web site is very simple:
Under no circumstances will we associate a photograph of a pupil with their name.
We may publish childrens' names in articles and pages on the site, and we may also publish photographs containing their image, but it will never be possible to identify a child's name from the photograph.
We operate an "opt out" policy for any parent or guardian who does not wish their children's image to appear on the web site. Parents wishing to opt out must confirm this in writing to the headteacher.
Safe Surfing and internet access
There are numerous guides available to guide parents and children towards safe web and internet access. Rather than reproduce them here we thought it better to provide links to experts in the field. If however, you do wish to discuss any aspect of safe surfing with school please do not hesitate to contact us.
On clicking these links you'll be taken to the respective web sites. Use your browser's back button to return to this page.
