Our school
Our school

Our school is located in the village of Great Sampford in north west Essex. It primarily serves the parishes of Great and Little Sampford, though we welcome children from surrounding villages and towns. There are currently 96 children attending the school aged from 4 to 11 years of age.

Great Sampford Board School (as it was known) was built by the Reverend Robert Eustace after the old school was deemed to be too small for the number of children needing education. It was opened in 1876 and has naturally seen many changes over the years. (Click here for a little more history.)

We pride ourself on being a 'community' school in all senses of the word. We are a happy family school which stands as an integral part of the village where it provides a full and balanced education for all its pupils. Time in school is very precious and we aim to make that time as enjoyable and productive as possible for all our children.
