We're blue da ba dee da ba daa...

As you are aware, this year the School Council have decided that they want to support the work of Unicef; The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund. Unicef does amazing work supporting children in some of the most challenging conditions around the world and this is something the children want to contribute to. Their understanding of the importance of Children’s rights and how to respect these rights has grown considerably as a result of our work achieving Rights Respecting School status.

They fully appreciate what we all take for granted, such as running water, education and a safe home environment is not available to all.

So far in our loose change box we have raised £28.96, so thank you to everybody who has contributed. Please keep bringing in your loose change as every penny counts.

Today, the children each brought in a minimum donation of £1 to dress in blue. We will also had delicious blue themed cupcakes available for sale at break time priced £1.00 which were baked by Mr Pollard’s own fair hand!  I am delighted to inform you that we have raised £590.50 which is an amazing achievement.
