Robin Class

Robin Class

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a small class size for the children's first year in school. There are only 8 children in Robin class (our Early Years Foundation Stage Class, EYFS for short).  Mrs Armstrong is the Class Teacher and she is supported by Mrs Hale, our Learning Support Assistant. Mrs Hale is the category winner of the 'Essex Teaching Awards' 2018. We are very lucky to have her as a member of our staff.

Our first few days

Visit to Santa

Our visit to see Father Christmas

We had a wonderful time at Audley End miniature railway. The children were very excited to be going on the train and they enjoyed seeing the little scenes before we arrived at Santa's grotto. The elves checked that all the children have been good and asked what the children were hoping for, for Christmas. Father Christmas gave us all a present and then the elves did a dance before waving us off. We then wrote and posted letters to Father Christmas before retiring back to school.

We have all enjoyed using the new kitchen. So far we have made cheese straws, jelly and Numicon shapes with salt dough. We have had lots of opportunity to use the vocabulary of capacity. We have also been reading and following instructions.
