Welcome from the Head Teacher

Welcome from the Head Teacher

Welcome to our school. It is a great privilege to be the Head Teacher here and I am very proud of the achievements and progress our children make each day.

At Great Sampford we aim to give every child the very best education through vibrant and engaging teaching. We believe in enabling the children to become enthusiastic, independent learners as part of an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum. We have invested in top of the range technology to enrich the children's learning journey; this is supported by our enrichment days and exciting school trips.

Throughout the school we want our children to enjoy a wide range of opportunities which bring the curriculum to life and make learning fun. We support and enrich pupils’ experiences by also offering a great programme of extra-curricular activities which children have the opportunity to take part in before, during or after school. We ensure our children are given access to an enormous variety of opportunities from meeting famous people to experiencing unusual and memorable moments!

All of our staff are passionate and work hard to ensure the best possible quality of education for the children in every year group. We regularly celebrate children’s successes and achievements – a testament to the hard work of our pupils, our dynamic curriculum and the ongoing support we receive from our parents and the community beyond.

I am currently teaching Swift Class (Years 3/4) two days a week as well as taking on the role of Head Teacher and feel privileged to work with the team and children we have at Great Sampford.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you require further information or would like to see us in action. We are always very happy to show visitors around.
