Uniform

At Great Sampford we believe it is important that all children and staff are appropriately dressed.  The wearing of our agreed school uniform is therefore an expectation for all pupils; we want all of our pupils to look neat and presentable at all times and to take a pride in their appearance.

Our current school uniform was proposed by the School Council whose members decided that they wanted to look smarter, this was endorsed by the Class Councils and then discussed by the parent body.  The uniform list is attached below.

In order to keep the cost to the parents as low as possible we have kept the number of logo bearing items to a minimum, these can only be purchased through the school uniform suppliers, along with the school tie. All other clothing can be purchased from any High Street clothing shop. Please ensure that all of your child's clothing is clearly labelled as it is impossible for us to identify an individual's clothing otherwise.

Please note, in order to ensure your children's safety we must insist that:

  • Long hair is never left to simply flow freely and must always be tied back for PE and swimming (swimming is Swift Class only).
  • Earrings must not be worn on PE and swimming days.  Staff cannot remove earrings and earrings cannot be taped.  Children must be able to remove earrings themselves if necessary.
  • Football boots and shin pads must be worn by all children who attend football club.

After careful consideration we recently changed our school uniform supplier in order to ensure quality and value for money for parents when purchasing uniform.

To order uniform please order via your ScoPay account or speak to Mrs Bullock in the office.
