Miss ReisHead Teacher - Swift Class (2 Days a week) Miss Reis is our Swift Class (Year 3&4) teacher and our Head Teacher. She studied Chemistry and Maths at The University of Sheffield, before her PGCE in Portsmouth SCITT. She is very passionate about reading and phonics. Mr LaingDeputy Head Teacher - Eagle Class Mr Laing is our Eagle Class (Year 5&6) teacher and our Deputy Head Teacher. He has been a teacher for over two decades. He has a particular interest in Maths and Sport. Mr. Laing always delivers exciting lessons, he is very skilled at making learning memorable and 'hands on'. We love his assemblies! Miss SwainClass Teacher - Robin Class Miss Swain is our Robin class (Reception) teacher and has a B.Sc. (hons) degree in Biochemistry and a P.G.C.E (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) from Cambridge University. Miss Swain really enjoys teaching and regularly gives children opportunities that are 'outside of the box'. Miss HerbertClass Teacher - Puffin Class Miss Herbert is new to our team and teaches in Puffin Class (Years 1&2). She comes with a wealth of knowledge of schools and the Early Years from her time as a TA. She is always prepared for any lesson and her resources make each lesson more exiting. Mrs MurrellClass Teacher- Swift Class (3 Days a week) Mrs Murrell currently teaches in Swift class. She joined Great Sampford in September 2008 and has been teaching for fourteen years in total. Mrs Murrell has a B.Sc. (hons) degree in Maths and Statistics from Anglia Ruskin University and a P.G.C.E (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) from Cambridge University. Miss MitchellHigher Level Teaching Assistant- Eagle Class Miss Mitchell is a Teaching Assistant in our Year 5/6 Class with Mr Laing and has been at Great Sampford since September 2006. Mrs HaleTeaching Assistant - Puffin Class Mrs Hale is a Teaching Assistant in Puffin Class with Miss Herbert and has been at Great Sampford since September 2001. Miss LuckingTeaching Assistant - Swift Class Miss Lucking is a Teaching Assistant in Swift Class. She did used to work in the kitchen but we managed to persuade her into the classroom where she works alongside many of our children and has a real understanding of how different children progress. Miss BerryCatering Manager Miss Berry is our wonderful chef in the kitchen. She manages to produce some of the most delicious food and cakes for all the children and staff at the school.
